Biography

Sergio Duce Sesé is a multifaceted creator whose career weaves together his passion for art and teaching. Trained in Industrial Engineering in Zaragoza (Spain), he began his professional career in Germany in 2000 as an engineer. However, his true artistic vocation started to develop in his spare time when he discovered oil painting through his friend, Chilean painter Toto Parga. This encounter marked the beginning of a period of pictorial exploration that lasted for several years.

In 2005, upon returning to Spain, he decided to make a radical career change and dedicate himself to education. Since 2006, his work as a teacher has become a space where he merges creativity with learning. His innovative approach led him to receive the National Award for Educational Innovation (Premio Nacional de Innovación Educativa) in 2011 for his project A Museum in My School A Museum in My School, convirtiendo un instituto en un museo fijo,  este proyecto refleja su compromiso con acercar el arte a las personas y sobre todo a los más jóvenes.

In 2013, he published a graphic novel about sports and, as part of its promotion, opened an Instagram account that eventually evolved into themes related to education, childhood, and family. The public’s response and his connection with his audience motivated him to delve deeper into his artistic side, exploring new forms of expression and returning to the creation of physical artwork.

Today, his work continues to reflect his commitment to education, creativity, and human development, highlighting the transformative power of art. His signature style is the use of shadows to represent parallel realities, allowing him to address themes such as childhood, personal growth, and the impact of technology on society.

As an educator, he acknowledges that many of his ideas originate in the classroom and his surroundings, enabling him to connect with a diverse audience seeking meaningful content.
